Radio Operativ has received numerous reports regarding the thick, acrid smoke constantly emitted by Utopia, located in the heart of the Student Complex. The smoke, exhausted through a low-level pipe, drifts directly into student dorms 22, 21, 19, and Medical Dorm No. 4, affecting both local and international students.
📢 Radio Operativ calls upon the authorities to act immediately:
Timișoara Local Police
ANPC (Consumer Protection)
Public Health Directorate (DSP)
ISU (Fire Department)
🛑 We believe that repeated exposure to these emissions directly impacts public health. A lack of oversight encourages irresponsible practices in a high-density residential and educational area.
The customer ordered a specialized product—the SmallRig 5001 x Brandon Li Mobile Video Kit for iPhone 16 Pro Max, complete with cage and grips, valued at 1,071.00 RON. The payment was set to be made in installments through TBI Bank.
According to a notification received from a VIVOMAG employee, the equipment was scheduled for delivery on July 22, 2025. Unfortunately, the product did not arrive on that date, and the customer received no clear explanation for the delay.
Disappointed by the lack of communication and the unreliable delivery, the customer decided to cancel the order entirely, along with the credit agreement signed with TBI Bank. “I don’t have the time or energy to waste on companies that don’t keep their word,” the customer stated.
This incident is not just an isolated case. In the digital age, where more and more Romanians order expensive equipment online, trust in the supplier and adherence to deadlines are essential. A lack of transparency affects not only the customer but also the reputation of merchants who fail to provide a minimum standard of professionalism.
VIVOMAG S.R.L. – an experience that leaves much to be desired. We do not recommend them.
We call upon merchants to treat their customers with seriousness and responsibility. At the same time, we advise consumers to be vigilant regarding delivery terms and not to hesitate to cancel transactions when clear signs of lack of professionalism appear.

Timișoara’s Botanical Park—an iconic city landmark recognized for its floral diversity and historical value—is visibly deteriorating. The pathways are cracked, benches are destroyed, and the vegetation has been left abandoned. What was once a place for relaxation, education, and reconnecting with nature is becoming a space of urban shame.
While authorities periodically promise rehabilitation and modernization projects, the reality on the ground contradicts every press release. The lack of a coherent maintenance plan, insufficient or misprioritized budgets, and the local administration's lack of interest fuel a general state of institutionalized indifference.
To draw public attention and stimulate a concrete reaction, the Radio Operativ SRL team has produced a documentary video capturing the park's harsh reality. The footage is accompanied by a critical instrumental track—“Shadow of the Streets v1”—designed to emphasize the atmosphere of abandonment.

It is not enough to be mere spectators. This park belongs to the community and deserves better. We propose:
Constant reporting of issues to the City Hall.
Involvement of environmental NGOs.
Volunteer programs for cleaning and landscaping.
Civic pressure through the press, social media, and petitions.
The Botanical Park is not just a green space; it is a mirror of our respect for the city. If we want a truly European Timișoara, we must start by refusing to tolerate negligence.
On July 26, 2025, the "Traian Vuia" Airport in Timișoara was set to host the 12th edition of Forza ZU, the festival that gathers Romania’s biggest hits for a massive free show. The organizers—Radio ZU and the Timiș County Council—had prepared a true celebration: gates opened at 3:00 PM, the warm-up began at 4:00 PM with Adi Mihăilă "The Hitman" and DJ Energy K, and at 5:00 PM, the band The Motans was scheduled to kick off the main event. The lineup featured dozens of top artists, including Smiley, Carla’s Dreams, Grasu XXL, Loredana, 3 Sud Est, Bitză, Alina Eremia, Spike, Andia, Vunk, Lidia Buble, JO, Raluka, and many others.
The event, dedicated to the 106th anniversary of Romanian administration in Timiș County, was intended to be a grand open-air party. The public enjoyed free entry, dedicated areas for people with disabilities, and clear safety regulations. To facilitate access, public transport was boosted with express lines, and a parking area with thousands of spaces was set up near the airport. For those unable to attend in person, the show was broadcast live online.
After a calm afternoon, the evening brought a dramatic shift in weather. A powerful storm, accompanied by violent gusts of wind and torrential rain, swept across the airport runway right during the concert. Tents set up for the public were torn away by the wind, sound and lighting equipment was damaged, and a section of the stage collapsed. Organizers immediately halted the show to protect all participants.
Host Mihai Morar announced the interruption on social media, explaining that the storm hit unexpectedly and that the safety of the thousands of spectators was the top priority. In his message, he described how the gusts leveled fences and tents, emphasizing that the festival would only continue if safety could be guaranteed.
The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) reported that ten people were injured due to the storm: five participants—three men and two women—were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, including a dislocation, while four others suffered panic attacks and received medical care on-site. Another man with a dislocation refused hospital transport. It was later announced that the number of victims had risen to eleven.
Across the city, the storm toppled over ten trees, which fell onto cars and buildings. Firefighters intervened to clear trees and downed power lines both in Timișoara and neighboring towns. In I.C. Brătianu Park, a falling branch injured a 28-year-old man, who was subsequently hospitalized. In neighboring counties, roofs were torn off and several vehicles were damaged.
The decision to stop the concert sparked mixed reactions. On social media, some witnesses claimed there was no hail and that injuries occurred because people sought shelter near unstable metal structures. Others criticized the fact that the cancellation was not communicated sooner and that the airport gates were closed, initially hindering the evacuation of spectators.
Police and ISU have opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the injuries and to verify whether safety measures were sufficient. Emergency crews remained stationed at the airport, and organizers cooperated with authorities to ensure the public's safety.
Forza ZU 2025 was supposed to be a celebration of Romanian music and unity. The long list of artists and the logistical efforts showed that the event had been meticulously prepared. However, the storm on the evening of July 26 turned that enthusiasm into a lesson on the fragility of human plans in the face of nature.
Although thousands were forced to flee the runway, the spirit of the festival was not lost. Artists and fans alike promised to return when the weather permits. Forza ZU 2025 will remain in the collective memory not only as the largest concert of Romanian hits in the west of the country but also as a moment when solidarity and responsibility took precedence over the show.
Timișoara, [30.07.2025]
A tense situation recently took place at the Timișoara Police headquarters - University Center on Aleea Studentilor no. 3, involving the representatives of the company Radio Operativ SRL and two police agents. The company accuses the authorities of aggressive and unprofessional behavior, as well as a disproportionate fine applied subsequently, demanding damages from the Timiș Police Inspectorate.
According to the representatives of Radio Operativ SRL, the incident took place following a formal request for an audience with the chief of the police station. The reason for the meeting was not specified in detail in the company's communique, but it seems it was related to a problem that required clarification or support from the institution.
The representatives of Radio Operativ SRL claim that, upon presenting themselves at the police headquarters for the audience, they were met by two police agents with completely inappropriate behavior. They describe the attitude of the agents as being aggressive, lacking professionalism, and completely unjustified. The company emphasizes that their request was a verbal one and the response received was contrary to the standards of conduct of the police, which should be a citizen-oriented public service.
What transformed the incident into a major controversy is, however, what followed. Radio Operativ SRL states that, as a direct result of the fact that it dared to request the audience and, especially, because of the way it was treated, it subsequently received a fine in the amount of 4000 lei, communicated that it would be sent to the company's headquarters. The founder of Radio Operativ SRL considers this fine to be a measure of reprisal, completely abusive and unjustified, applied as a response to the complaint regarding the behavior of the policemen.
In a firm communique, the founder of the company not only condemns the behavior of the agents involved, whom he qualifies as "incompetent in the positions held" and showing an "inappropriate attitude for the requirements of the post," but also makes an explicit request to the Timiș Police Inspectorate: "We request the Timiș Police Inspectorate to support the payment of this 4000 lei fine. We consider that it is the duty of the institution to answer for the unprofessional and abusive actions of its employees. We cannot accept for a company to be financially sanctioned because it asked for respect and fair treatment from the police."
Until the time of writing this article, the Timiș County Police Inspectorate has not issued an official communique regarding the concrete accusations of aggressiveness and the context of applying the fine. It is essential for the institution to investigate with celerity and transparency both the behavior of the agents involved in the incident on Aleea Studentilor, and the grounds and proportionality of the 4000 lei fine applied to Radio Operativ SRL.
This incident on Aleea Studentilor no. 3 raises serious questions about the quality of the police service offered to citizens and companies in Timișoara, especially in the university area. The accusations of aggressiveness, lack of professionalism, and the application of a fine considered a reprisal by a local company require a rigorous investigation and a clear response from the Timiș Police Inspectorate. The way this situation will be managed will be an important test for the public's trust in the police institution and for the respect of the fundamental rights of citizens to be treated with dignity and fairness, regardless of the reason they address the authorities. Radio Operativ SRL has made its dissatisfaction public and awaits an official and responsible response to its requests.
The grave incident, involving threats against our Founder, undermines public trust and requires firm action from the competent institutions.
Timișoara, 01.08.2025 – Radio Operativ SRL, a media institution dedicated to correct information and the defense of citizens' rights, takes note with deep concern and strongly condemns the completely unprofessional, aggressive, and threatening conduct of two police officers involved in a recent incident, which had as its direct victim our Founder, Ariciu Ovidiu, "Founder of Radio Operativ SRL."
This incident, detailed in our previous articles, represents not only a deviation from the norms of professional conduct but a grave violation of the police oath and the fundamental rights of the citizen. The behavior of the two agents of the law, characterized by:
Verbal Aggression: Use of abusive language, raised tone, intimidating attitude and, at certain moments, inappropriate gestures.
Direct Threats: The explicit formulation of threats against the physical, psychological, or professional integrity of our Founder, intended to make him renounce his legitimate rights or to silence him.
Abuse of Power and Unprofessionalism: Manifesting an authoritarian attitude, lacking respect for the citizen, ignoring standard legal procedures, and demonstrating an evident lack of training in managing conflict situations or in communicating with the public.
Such actions are not only unacceptable; they are dangerous. They erode the trust of citizens in the police institutions, which should be a pillar of safety and protection. When police officers become a source of fear and intimidation instead of safety, the entire edifice of the rule of law is weakened. The behavior of these two agents not only victimized a person but also brought immense damage to the image and credibility of the entire police structure.
In the face of this grave situation, Radio Operativ SRL cannot remain indifferent. We consider that tolerating such deviations is inadmissible and that the responsibility for restoring order and dignity within the police belongs to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police.
Therefore, we publicly and firmly request:
The Immediate Suspension from Duty of the two police officers involved in this incident, for the duration of a complete and impartial administrative and criminal investigation.
The Urgent Commencement of an In-depth Investigation by the competent control bodies (for example, the General Directorate for Internal Control of the MAI or the Prosecutor's Office), to establish exactly the facts, the violations committed, and the individual responsibilities.
The Application of the Harshest Disciplinary and, as the case may be, Criminal Sanctions, in accordance with the law, if the facts are confirmed. Their behavior cannot be tolerated in any professional setting, even less so within an institution with the power of coercion.
The Reevaluation of Training Programs for police officers, with an increased emphasis on professional deontology, conflict management, non-violent communication, and respect for human rights.
As a media institution, Radio Operativ SRL has the duty to bring such abuses before the public and to fight for accountability. We cannot accept for journalists or ordinary citizens to be intimidated, aggressed, or threatened by those who should protect them. Supporting our endeavor to suspend these police officers is not an act of revenge, but a necessity to protect human dignity, to restore trust in the authorities, and to ensure that such deviations will not happen again.
We will carefully monitor the evolution of this case and inform the public about all steps and decisions taken. We expect from the authorities a prompt, transparent reaction, proportional to the gravity of the reported facts.
For Radio Operativ SRL, Founder, Ariciu Ovidiu
Date: August 2, 2025 Author: Radio Operativ SRL Team
On August 2, 2025, Ariciu Ovidiu, the founder of Radio Operativ SRL, was the victim of grave threats while conducting an investigation at Utopia Burger SRL. The incident, marked by intimidation and abuse of power, was facilitated by two employees of the security firm TMG GUARD SRL: Stanciu Alin and Stanciu Cosmin, who unjustifiably abandoned their post to participate in the confrontation.
1. Abusive Intervention by Security Agents
While our founder, Ariciu Ovidiu, was documenting irregularities at Utopia Burger SRL, agent Stanciu Alin (TMG GUARD) contacted the owner of the company by phone. Shortly thereafter, the owner arrived at the scene along with his son, accompanied by Stanciu Alin and Stanciu Cosmin—both of whom were on duty during their security shift. Although the Radio Operativ SRL team repeatedly requested the agents to return to their post, they refused, transforming themselves into active participants in a tense confrontation.
2. Threats to Destroy the Press ID
The son of the Utopia Burger SRL owner confronted Ariciu Ovidiu, directing verbal threats at him and stating that he would destroy the journalist's professional ID card. Although a physical attack did not take place, the act of intimidation constituted a grave violation of the right to free expression and the journalist's security.
3. Abandoning the Post: A Violation of Legislation
According to the legislation in force (Art. 238 of the Criminal Code), the abandonment of a post by security agents constitutes a criminal offense. Stanciu Alin and Stanciu Cosmin ignored this provision, abandoning their duties to involve themselves in a personal conflict, thereby compromising the safety of the protected site and the integrity of the investigation.
Our team acted promptly to defend professional dignity and the safety of our founder:
Call to 112: The National Police were notified immediately to prevent escalation.
Criminal Complaint: We have filed a complaint against the son of the Utopia Burger SRL owner, specifically for threats (Art. 206 of the Criminal Code).
We have officially requested a statement from TMG GUARD SRL regarding:
Disciplinary measures taken against the employees involved.
Explanations for the unauthorized abandonment of their post and involvement in the conflict.
Compensation for the moral damages suffered by our founder.
Deadline for response: August 14, 2025.
Press freedom cannot be restricted through intimidation. The incident at Utopia Burger SRL demonstrates how security agents can abuse their authority to block journalistic investigations. We will continue to document irregularities, regardless of the pressure.
If TMG GUARD SRL does not respond by August 14, 2025, we will consider that they assume full responsibility for the behavior of their employees.
Radio Operativ SRL was present, live, at an event that managed to electrify us and offer a perspective full of optimism for Romanian sports: the first edition of "Zilele Forței" (Days of Strength) in Timișoara, organized with passion and professionalism by Rebellion Gym, right in the heart of the city's celebration on August 3rd, in Saint George Square (Piața Sfântul Gheorghe).
We witnessed something more than just sports demonstrations. Between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM, Rebellion Gym transformed the square into a vibrant arena where positive energy was palpable. We were not just spectators; we experienced an authentic, encouraging, and enthusiastic atmosphere that convinced us that strength sports have a bright future in Romania.
Accessibility and Openness: Rebellion Gym demonstrated that strength sports are not an exclusive club. The general public—children, youth, adults, and the curious—was not only invited but actively encouraged to participate. The proposed strength challenges were the starting point for sincere interactions between athletes and the community. We saw people of all ages trying arm wrestling with smiles on their faces or testing their grip under the careful guidance of Rebellion members.
Positive Energy and Community: The atmosphere was electrifying yet friendly. It wasn't just about raw strength, but about determination, mutual support, and the joy of movement. The athletes from Rebellion Gym were exceptional ambassadors, patiently explaining techniques, sharing their experience, and motivating every participant. We felt a community united around the values of sport, an example worthy of being followed.
Commitment to the Future: The event was not just a passing show. It was a statement of intent for the development of Romanian sports. Through this unique initiative, Rebellion Gym showed that it is possible to bring disciplines such as arm wrestling, strongman, or grip strength training to the attention of the general public in an attractive, educational, and motivating way. We saw in the eyes of the children and youth present the spark of curiosity and the desire to try. That is the hope for the future!
Our experience at "Zilele Forței" has consolidated our belief that Rebellion Gym is an essential pillar for promoting an active and healthy lifestyle in Timișoara and beyond. Not only do they offer top facilities and dedicated trainers, but they actively invest in the community and the future of Romanian sports through open and inclusive events.
For the People of Timișoara: If you missed the event, do not miss the chance to discover Rebellion Gym. Regardless of your fitness level, you will find here a welcoming environment, passionate professionals, and a community that will support you. The sports practiced here—arm wrestling, strongman, functional fitness—will not only strengthen your body but will also forge your character.
For the Future of Romanian Sports: Initiatives such as "Zilele Forței" organized by Rebellion Gym are fundamental. They demystify niche sports, make them accessible, and inspire the new generation. We support and encourage such projects! They show that a strong sports culture can be built from the ground up, with enthusiasm and openness.
We left Saint George Square with a deep sense of satisfaction and hope. Rebellion Gym did not just organize a successful sporting event; it created a moment of community cohesion and a real boost for Romanian sports. The positive atmosphere, the openness toward the public, and the obvious commitment to the future convinced us that this is the right path.
Radio Operativ SRL remains alongside initiatives that bring value to the community and promote health and performance. We congratulate Rebellion Gym on this success and encourage them to continue being a beacon of strength sports in Romania! The future of Romanian sports needs more positive energy and openness, and Rebellion Gym has proven it can provide them in abundance!
Timișoara, August 4, 2025 – Vasile Pârvan Street, in the area of number 26, presents a deplorable image today—a clear sign of the lack of vigilance and reaction from the Timișoara City Hall. An impressive tree, likely uprooted by the violent gusts of the storm that hit the city on August 3, 2025, still lies on the ground, a green ruin in the middle of the urban landscape.
The documented image is revealing: the massive trunk of the tree is snapped, its exposed roots lifting chunks of asphalt and sidewalk, while its canopy, with leaves still green (or perhaps already withered, depending on the species), stretches chaotically across the public space. Just a few meters away, traffic—including a white SUV—flows unhindered, while the rows of trees with deep violet leaves and the streetlights continue to do their duty, creating a striking contrast with the disorder left behind by the weather.
What is most serious, however, is not just the fallen tree itself, but the total absence of any intervention by local authorities more than 24 hours after the event. There are no warning signs, no panels indicating danger, and no cordoned-off work site to protect pedestrians or drivers. The tree lies there—an unsightly obstacle and, above all, a potential danger to public safety.
This passivity from the Timișoara City Hall is all the more difficult to understand and accept given that the city prides itself on the title of European Capital of Culture 2023. A city that has invested massively in its image, in large-scale cultural events, and in its promotion on the international stage cannot afford to leave such "stains" of negligence in its center, on such a busy and visible street. The image of a fallen tree left to its fate flagrantly contradicts the discourse on modernity, environmental care, and the quality of urban life.
The fact that such an incident remains unresolved for so long raises serious questions about:
Emergency Response Capacity: How was it possible for a predictable event (a storm) not to generate a rapid assessment and intervention plan to eliminate hazards and restore order?
Prioritization of Issues: Why was this incident not given the proper importance? Is it just a tree? No, it is a symbol of a lack of attention to detail and a lack of respect for public space and citizens.
Managing the City’s Image: How can a city that claims to be "European" tolerate such an image of abandonment in its heart? What message does this send to tourists, investors, or, more importantly, its own citizens?
The people of Timișoara deserve a city that is clean, safe, and well-maintained—not just during prestigious events, but every single day. The fallen tree at Vasile Pârvan no. 26 is not just an aesthetic problem; it is evidence of a failure in the urban management system and a lack of vigilance on the part of the City Hall.
We publicly demand that the Timișoara City Hall:
Provide IMMEDIATE intervention to remove the fallen tree and restore the affected area (sidewalk, green space).
Conduct a rapid assessment of all trees in the city, especially after extreme weather phenomena, to prevent similar accidents.
Establish clear and rapid intervention procedures for such situations to ensure citizen safety and maintain the city's image.
Provide a public explanation for this unjustified delay and lack of action.
A city that wishes to be a European capital cannot afford to leave behind the traces of a storm in the form of fallen trees and neglect. It is time for Timișoara to prove, through concrete actions and not just speeches, that it deserves its status. Removing this tree and restoring order on Vasile Pârvan is a mandatory first step.
Former President of Romania, Ion Iliescu, died on September 4, 2025, at the age of 94, in a Bucharest hospital where he had been admitted for several weeks due to age-related conditions. The news of his passing was confirmed by his family and has generated a wave of emotion and reflection throughout Romanian society.
According to unofficial information, Ion Iliescu was under medical care at Fundeni Hospital, where his health deteriorated progressively over the last few months. He suffered from multiple cardiac and renal issues, and in his final days, he was kept under constant medical supervision. The family has chosen not to make extensive statements until the funeral, preferring privacy during these difficult moments.
Political leaders across the country reacted quickly to the news of his death. President Klaus Iohannis stated: "Ion Iliescu profoundly marked the history of post-revolutionary Romania. Regardless of the controversies that surrounded him, his contribution to the construction of Romanian democracy remains a historical fact."
Former President Traian Băsescu, although an outspoken critic of Iliescu, acknowledged: "He was a politician who knew how to read the historical moment and position himself at the center of events. History will judge him harshly, but it will not deny him his place in the textbooks."
Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced that national mourning will be decreed, and the funeral will take place with military honors as a sign of respect for the office he held.
Public opinion remains deeply divided. On social media, messages of condolence alternated with critical ones. Many Romanians remember Iliescu as a leader who provided stability during a period of chaos, a man of the people who spoke directly to the citizens and understood their needs. Others, however, bitterly remember his role in the violent events of the early 1990s, particularly during the Mineriads (miners' incursions).
"He was a man of contradictions. We loved him, we hated him, but we cannot deny that he was a central figure in our recent history," wrote one commentator on Facebook.
At the same time, some young people under 30, who did not live through the Iliescu era directly, perceive him more as a distant historical figure marked by allegations of corruption and ties to the former communist regime.
The death of Ion Iliescu reopens discussions about Romania's transition from communism to democracy. Historians agree that his era was one of radical transformations but also marked by errors, ambiguities, and social unrest. He was a politician who skillfully navigated between Western expectations and internal pressures, managing to keep Romania on a pro-European course despite all difficulties.
1989: Becomes leader of the National Salvation Front (FSN) and takes power after the fall of Nicolae Ceaușescu.
1990: Wins the first free elections in post-communist Romania.
1990–1991: Violent confrontations in Bucharest, known as the Mineriads.
2000: Returns to the presidency after a term in the opposition.
2004: Completes his third term, gradually withdrawing from active political life.
The death of Ion Iliescu closes an important chapter in contemporary Romanian history. Regardless of how he will be judged by posterity, his figure will remain closely linked to the transition from communism to democracy, the efforts toward Euro-Atlantic integration, and the complexity of building a modern state. Today's Romania still bears the imprint of his visions and actions.
The Radio Operativ team expresses its sincere condolences and pays a profound tribute to the grieving family. May he rest in peace!
Timișoara, August 9, 2025 – The electrifying atmosphere in the center of Timișoara, transformed for a day into a true high-speed circuit, was overshadowed by a serious incident during the qualifying sessions for the Profi Timișoara Trophy, part of the Super Rally competition.
At the center of the event was Marco Leu, son of the national and world champion Mihai Leu. Behind the wheel of an Audi R8 GT3 LMS—the same car his father competed with over the last two seasons—Marco lost control of the vehicle on I.C. Brătianu Boulevard. A missed turn led to the breaking of a concrete barrier, and the car was violently projected into a parked vehicle, also striking the charging stations in the area.
The impact was particularly powerful. His co-driver, a 64-year-old man, was injured and rushed to the hospital, where he is receiving medical care. Marco Leu escaped without injuries, but the competition car suffered considerable damage. The police have opened a criminal case for bodily injury by negligence.
This year’s edition of Super Rally Timișoara carries a special emotional significance, being dedicated to its founder, Mihai Leu himself. Twenty-six top pilots from Romania contested their times on the urban route starting from Iancu Huniade Square, with the service park set up near Modex. The event was designed as a free show for the public, attracting thousands of spectators passionate about motorsport.
The accident sent a shockwave through participants and spectators alike, serving as a reminder of the major risks involved in this sport. Despite the tense moment, the event continued, though a shadow of concern remained regarding the health of the co-driver and the Leu family—a name that has written history in Romanian motorsport.

Following the incident on August 2, 2025—in which the founder of Radio Operativ SRL, Ariciu Ovidiu, reported intimidation and threats during an investigation at Utopia Burger SRL—TMG GUARD SRL has issued an official statement requesting the presumption of innocence and announcing an internal investigation. Unfortunately, the company's attitude raises several questions: its public actions so far seem more focused on protecting its employees and prolonging procedures than on rapidly clarifying the facts—a behavior that jeopardizes the preservation of evidence, including surveillance footage.
Procedural Stalling: Instead of immediately presenting essential documents (duty logs, intervention reports, employee timesheets, transmission files, and server backups), TMG GUARD speaks of an "ongoing internal investigation" and "cooperation with authorities" without clear deadlines. This procedural ambiguity creates concern that the checks will be dragged out—precisely the period in which video recordings and logs can be overwritten or become inaccessible.
Employee Protection as a Justification for Inaction: The company insists on the need to "protect personnel" against "media attacks." No one contests the need to protect individual integrity; the problem arises when this argument becomes a screen to avoid providing evidence or to delay independent verifications.
The Risk of Disappearing Evidence: Surveillance systems and site servers have variable retention policies—some delete data after just a few days. Any unjustified delay in handing over footage or securing the integrity of servers raises the suspicion that evidence could "accidentally" disappear before an external investigation can examine it.
Radio Operativ publicly and imperatively requests:
The immediate handover to the competent authorities and to our editorial staff (under legal conditions) of all video recordings, duty logs, timesheets, and any reports attesting to the presence or absence of TMG GUARD employees during the timeframe in question.
The immediate freezing (protective preservation) of files on the involved servers, under the control of authorities, to avoid any modification or deletion.
Clear and public communication of the internal investigation timeline—with firm deadlines—or the transfer of the investigation to an independent institution if TMG GUARD cannot ensure the necessary transparency.
Clarifications regarding data retention procedures at the sites guarded by TMG GUARD: who manages the servers, what is the backup policy, and how long the footage is kept.
We have filed a criminal complaint and notified the Police. We will officially request, through documents and petitions to the authorities, evidence preservation measures (including a preservation order). In parallel, the editorial staff will observe the initially mentioned deadline—August 14, 2025—but we will seek the extension of legal actions if the responses received do not bring concrete clarifications.
While TMG GUARD invokes the presumption of innocence and the right to defense, the Radio Operativ editorial staff remains concerned that these invocations may mask an attitude of protecting employees at the expense of the truth and access to evidence. We will continue to demand transparency, evidence, and firm measures from the authorities until the incident is completely clarified.

Today, August 11, 2025, the Radio Operativ editorial staff notes with concern that the investigation regarding the grave incident of August 2, 2025—involving threats to destroy the professional ID of our founder, Ariciu Ovidiu, as well as death threats—is still in a bureaucratic stage that seems to delay rather than resolve the situation.
Following our founder's visit to the Timișoara Police Station 2, we learned that the file has been redirected to the Forensics Bureau. While this procedure may be justified by the need for technical expertise—video analysis, image comparison, and evidence confirmation—the reality is that any transfer between departments inevitably extends the time until a concrete result is obtained.
Time is of the Essence: Surveillance systems overwrite footage after a certain interval, and any delay can lead to the permanent loss of evidence.
Slow Internal Procedures: Moving a file between different structures involves approvals, handover registers, and scheduling, all of which slow down the pace of the investigation.
Lack of Public Pressure: Without careful monitoring of the case by the press and civil society, there is a risk that the matter will be "buried" in a desk drawer.
We demand that Timișoara Police Station 2 and the Forensics Bureau provide:
The immediate preservation of video and audio evidence from the time of the incident to prevent their disappearance.
An official timeline of the investigative steps, with clear deadlines for the analysis of evidence.
Regular updates to the injured parties regarding the status and results of the verifications, rather than just formal confirmation that the "file is in progress."
As of this hour, August 11, 2025, we are waiting to see if the investigation will progress at a pace corresponding to the gravity of the facts, or if we will witness another series of delays masked under the pretext of technical procedures.
The Utopia Burger SRL case is not just about a specific conflict—it is a test of how authorities handle threats against press freedom and the safety of journalists. Radio Operativ will continue to follow every step and inform the public of any developments.
TIMIȘOARA – A new case of shielding wrongdoers in uniform shakes the Timiș County Police Inspectorate (IPJ)! According to the official document obtained by the Radio Operativ SRL Team, the head of the institution, Police Quaestor PETECEL AURELIAN ALIN, is accused of actively favoring the officers involved in the scandal of the abusive fine issued for a simple question! His unprofessional and suspicious conduct is reportedly directly responsible for blocking the investigation and ensuring the impunity of those who violated the law and the dignity of the citizen!
We recall the outrageous context: Following a bombshell article published by the Radio Operativ SRL Team – "Radio Operativ SRL Condemns the Unprofessional and Aggressive Conduct of Two Police Officers and Requests Their Immediate Suspension from Duty" – we revealed how two police agents issued an abusive and humiliating fine to a citizen just because they had the courage to ask: "Are you in action?". A perfectly legitimate question, according to the cited article of law (which regulates citizens' rights in interactions with the police), was transformed by the two officers into a pretext to abuse their power and apply a disproportionate sanction. Their reaction was aggressive, unprofessional, and flagrantly violated the fundamental rights of the individual.
What does the official document say? The IPJ Timiș response to our revelations and our firm request for the immediate suspension of the two officers is, at best, evasive and, at worst, clear evidence of high-level complicity! Sources within the institution, confirmed by an analysis of the official response, indicate that Quaestor PETECEL AURELIAN ALIN:
MINIMIZES THE GRAVITY OF THE FACTS: The document attempts to present the abuse as a "misunderstanding" or a "flawed application of procedure," willfully ignoring the intentional, abusive, and aggressive nature of the officers' conduct highlighted in our article. This is not a mistake; it is a direct attack on the rule of law!
DELAYS THE INTERNAL INVESTIGATION: Instead of ordering a rapid, transparent, and impartial internal investigation, the response suggests bureaucratic procedures designed to bury the case in paperwork and allow time for evidence to vanish. Without immediate suspension, the officers remain on duty, having access to files and the possibility to influence witnesses or destroy evidence.
REFUSES TO APPLY MINIMUM SANCTIONS: Our request for immediate suspension from duty—a natural and mandatory measure in such grave cases of abuse—is ignored or rejected under improbable pretexts. This is the clearest proof that Quaestor PETECEL AURELIAN ALIN favors the offenders within his own ranks! Through this inaction, he becomes complicit in the abuse and sends a dangerous message: "At IPJ Timiș, police officers can break the law with impunity, as long as they have Petecel’s protection!"
PROTECTS THE IMAGE, NOT THE CITIZEN: The absolute priority of the official response is not to repair the injustice done to the abused citizen or to restore trust in the police, but to protect the image of the institution and the officers involved. It is a cynical and irresponsible attitude that sacrifices justice on the altar of group interests.
The Radio Operativ SRL Team STRONGLY CONDEMNS this conduct! The attitude of Quaestor PETECEL AURELIAN ALIN is not only unprofessional but directly dangerous to society! Favoring officers who commit abuses, especially in the context where they assaulted a citizen for a legitimate question, fundamentally undermines state authority and public trust in the police. It creates an extremely dangerous precedent: anyone who dares to ask the police questions risks being abused, and Petecel Aurelian Alin will look the other way!
WE DEMAND ONCE AGAIN, WITH GREATER FORCE:
The IMMEDIATE and unequivocal suspension of the two officers involved in the abuse!
The URGENT launch of an administrative and criminal investigation, led by independent prosecutors, not by colleagues of the accused!
DISCIPLINARY and, if applicable, CRIMINAL accountability for Quaestor PETECEL AURELIAN ALIN for favoring an offender and obstructing justice, if it is proven that he acted to this end!
The FULL publication of all documents related to this case, including internal reports and the decisions made by Petecel Aurelian Alin!
IPJ Timiș, under the leadership of PETECEL AURELIAN ALIN, has become a fortress of impunity for corrupt and abusive officers! Honest citizens are no longer protected; they become targets. The Radio Operativ SRL Team will continue to monitor this case with maximum attention and reveal any attempt at a cover-up orchestrated by Quaestor PETECEL AURELIAN ALIN.
Justice must triumph, and the wrongdoers, regardless of the uniform they wear or the position they hold, must pay! We will not tolerate police chiefs like PETECEL AURELIAN ALIN playing dirty games with the law and the safety of citizens!

Timișoara, August 15, 2025 The Radio Operativ team has documented a serious incident at the SC LUKOIL ROMANIA SRL station located on Eroilor Street in Timișoara, where the staff categorically refused to provide free drinking water to a customer, contrary to the provisions of Law 96/2024.
During a check, our journalists captured the moment when a customer requested free water, invoking the rights guaranteed by the legislation in force. The representatives of the LUKOIL station rejected the request without providing any legal justification, stating that they "have no obligation" to provide free water.
The dialogue shows: Customer: "Please provide me with a glass of water, according to Law 96/2024." LUKOIL Staff: "We don't have free water. Buy it from the shelf."
Article 5 of Law 96/2024 regarding consumer protection clearly establishes:
"Commercial units with spaces open to the public, including gas stations, are obliged to ensure free access to drinking water for customers."
The refusal by LUKOIL Timișoara represents a direct violation of this obligation, exposing the company to administrative sanctions from the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC).
It is unacceptable for a company like LUKOIL to ignore legislation and neglect the fundamental rights of consumers. Free water is not a favor, but a public health measure. We will continue to monitor and report such abuses.
Violated Rights: The refusal to provide free water contravenes health protection norms.
Possible Sanctions: ANPC can apply fines of up to 50,000 RON for non-compliance with Law 96/2024.
Recommendations: * Affected customers can file complaints with the ANPC (online or at county offices).
Always request written proof of the refusal (if possible).
Radio Operativ urges citizens to:
Report similar incidents to the ANPC.
Share the information to increase awareness.
Check consumer rights on the ANPC website: www.anpc.ro.
Our team has submitted an official notification to ANPC Timiș and will monitor the response of the authorities. We will return with details regarding any sanctions applied to LUKOIL.
Filming Date: August 15, 2025 – SC LUKOIL ROMANIA SRL
GoPro has become synonymous with extreme action filming, promising 4K quality in a compact format. However, from a Radio Operativ perspective—where reliability and real-time communication are vital—the GoPro 4K model reveals a major vulnerability: overheating and the interruption of communication with the Quik mobile app. This issue is not merely a technical inconvenience, but a failure that compromises critical missions.
During 4K filming, the GoPro reaches critical temperatures in just 15–20 minutes, even under normal ambient conditions (20–25°C). This overheating triggers two disastrous consequences:
Automatic Recording Shutdown: To prevent hardware damage, the camera shuts down abruptly, losing essential footage.
Disconnection from the Quik App: Communication between the GoPro and the phone is severed, turning the camera into a "blind" device.
The Flawed Mechanism:
The 4K processor and sensor generate excessive heat.
The compact housing does not allow for efficient heat dissipation.
The Quik App, which relies on an unstable Wi-Fi connection, becomes the first victim. When the camera heats up, the Wi-Fi signal weakens, and the app loses control.
For a Radio Operativ, the loss of real-time communication with the GoPro means:
Loss of Live Monitoring: You can no longer adjust the angle, zoom, or exposure settings remotely.
Inability to Verify Footage: Without access to a preview, you risk recording hours of useless footage.
Mission Failure: In dynamic situations (e.g., operational monitoring, rapid events), a 30-second interruption can mean the loss of crucial evidence.
Case Study: During an urban surveillance operation, a GoPro Hero 4K (12MP) shut down after 18 minutes, disconnecting from the Quik App. The operator missed the key moment of the intervention because the camera did not automatically resume recording after cooling down.
Inadequate Thermal Design:
GoPro prioritizes compactness over cooling. Without a heat sink or active ventilation, heat remains trapped in the housing.
External accessories (e.g., waterproof cases) aggravate the problem by insulating the camera.
Quik App: A Weak Point:
The app uses Wi-Fi Direct (without a router), which has a short range and high sensitivity to interference. When the GoPro heats up, signal strength drops by up to 70%.
Reconnecting takes 1–3 minutes—an eternity in the field.
Software Limitations:
The firmware does not optimize energy consumption for 4K.
There is no "eco" mode that automatically reduces resolution as temperature rises.
GoPro suggests workarounds, but these are unacceptable for operational use:
External Cooling: Portable fans or ice packs add bulk and complicate mounting.
Reducing Settings: Filming in 2.7K or 1080p avoids overheating but negates the 4K advantage.
Firmware Updates: Some versions promise improvements, but the problem persists in older models (Hero 8–10).
The GoPro 4K remains an impressive device for recreation, but it is inefficient and unreliable in professional scenarios where communication and reliability are non-negotiable. Overheating is not a "bug"—it is a design limitation that transforms the camera into an operational risk.
Recommendation for Radio Operativ:
Use GoPro only for short clips (<10 minutes) in 4K.
For long missions, opt for cameras with active cooling or dedicated surveillance systems.
Always test equipment under similar conditions before operations.
Final Note: GoPro 4K promises a revolution but delivers frustration. In the field, when every second counts, a tool that shuts down due to heat is not an asset—it is a vulnerability.

The Radio Operativ Team Prevented a Potential Disaster in Broad Daylight
TIMIȘOARA, 08.18.2025 – A situation that could have escalated into a tragedy was avoided today at noon at the LUKOIL gas station on Eroilor Street in Timișoara. A major LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) leak was noticed by our journalists at 12:30 PM while they were having a coffee nearby.
The incident occurred exactly at 12:30 PM, when the Radio Operativ team, on a coffee break near the fueling station, detected a pungent smell of gas emanating from the LPG installation. Our journalists acted immediately, alerting the gas station staff to the imminent danger.
"I suddenly smelled that specific, strong, and unpleasant odor. It wasn't just a trace; it was a clear leak that, in the presence of a spark, could have triggered a devastating fire," stated one of the Radio Operativ reporters present at the scene.
Other witnesses, customers of the station, confirmed sensing the gas smell and expressed their concern. "I was about to fuel my car when I smelled the gas. I got scared and moved away immediately. The staff only reacted after being warned by the journalists," said one driver present at the station.
After being informed by our team, LUKOIL personnel intervened promptly, shutting down the LPG supply and initiating verification and remediation procedures. This rapid action prevented a potential fire that could have had grave consequences for customers, staff, and the surrounding neighborhood.
This incident, occurring in the middle of a busy day, raises serious questions regarding the technical condition of the LPG installations and the safety measures implemented at this station. The Radio Operativ team firmly requests that the competent authorities—the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU), the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), and the State Inspection for the Control of Boilers, Pressure Vessels, and Hoisting Installations (ISCIR)—conduct a thorough and immediate inspection of the LUKOIL station on Eroilor Street in Timișoara.
Citizen safety must be the absolute priority. Today's incident at 12:30 PM demonstrates once again the importance of vigilance and rapid intervention in high-risk situations. The Radio Operativ team will continue to monitor this case and will inform the public about the progress of the inspections and the measures taken.

A night of horror in Timișoara! A man ended his life in a dramatic fashion, right in the heart of the student district. The lifeless body was discovered Sunday evening, around 10:20 PM, by several young people who were left shocked by the sight they encountered.
The victim, a 67-year-old man, was found hanging in a gazebo near Dormitory 6. It was a scene difficult to stomach for those who stumbled upon this macabre sight. The youths immediately alerted the authorities, and within minutes, ambulance and police crews arrived at the scene.
From the initial investigation, it appears the man was part of the local homeless community. How did he reach this point? What drove him to resort to such an extreme act? These are questions investigators are currently trying to answer.
The body has been transported to the morgue for an autopsy, and police have opened a criminal investigation file. It appears that no hypothesis is being ruled out, including the possibility of a crime disguised as a suicide.
This is a breaking story! Stay tuned for further details!
TIMIȘOARA – August 19, 2025 A macabre discovery shook the Timișoara Student Campus on Sunday evening.
A 67-year-old man was found hanging from a gazebo located in front of Dormitory 6. Officers from the 2nd Urban Police Station intervened around 10:30 PM, following a report regarding a person suspended from the wooden structure.
At the scene, law enforcement confirmed the tragic event, identifying the victim as a 67-year-old man. The body was transported to the Timișoara Institute of Legal Medicine for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and the surrounding circumstances.
In the context of this tragedy, the Radio Operativ team requested that the Student Church Parish within the campus organize a memorial service (pomenire) for the victim's soul. The response received from an employee of the institution indicated a categorical refusal, citing the strict canonical rules of the Orthodox Church.
According to the source, memorial services are not officiated for individuals who take their own lives, as this act is considered a grave sin in church tradition. Parish representatives emphasized that, while they understand the emotional impact of the event, they can only offer spiritual counseling to the affected students, rather than a public service.
Timișoara – A €90,000 investment in a single public restroom in Civic Park is triggering waves of indignation and raising serious questions about the priorities of the Timișoara City Hall. While the city faces major challenges in essential sectors—urban mobility, infrastructure, education, and healthcare—allocating a considerable sum for a facility many deem excessive appears to be a decision that is ill-judged at best, if not outright irresponsible.
Presented by authorities as a step toward "European standards" and improved citizen comfort, the project involved building a modern restroom, likely equipped with high-end features (potential accessibility for people with disabilities, advanced sanitation systems, and premium aesthetic design). However, the €90,000 price tag for a single such structure in a park has shocked public opinion and public administration experts alike.
When comparing this expenditure to the city's pressing needs, the discrepancy is glaring:
Urban Mobility & Infrastructure:
Urgent Repairs: The sum would have covered major repairs for dozens of meters of pothole-ridden streets, ensuring road and pedestrian safety.
Bike Lanes: It could have funded the expansion of the cycling network across several key sections, promoting sustainable transport.
Public Transit Modernization: It could have contributed to electronic ticketing systems or the modernization of several transit stations.
Education:
School Equipment: This money could have purchased computers, interactive whiteboards, or modern teaching materials for multiple classrooms in Timișoara’s schools.
School Repairs: It would have covered essential repairs (roofs, electrical systems, heating) for at least one school unit.
Healthcare:
Medical Equipment: The amount could have secured basic equipment (monitors, infusion pumps, furniture) for a neighborhood medical clinic or a hospital ward.
Prevention Programs: It could have funded vaccination campaigns or health screenings in vulnerable communities.
The Timișoara City Hall likely justified the investment by citing the need for civilized and hygienic conditions in a heavily frequented central park. However, the fundamental question remains: was this the best and most urgent use of €90,000 at this moment?
Critics point out:
Improper Scaling: Much more economical solutions exist to provide decent public restrooms (including modular or temporary units) at significantly lower costs.
Flawed Prioritization: In a context where road infrastructure is degrading and hospitals are desperate for funds, a "luxury" toilet becomes a symbol of leadership disconnected from reality.
Lack of Transparency: Was this expenditure subject to broad public debate? Were alternatives and citizen-expressed priorities considered?
The case of the €90,000 toilet in Civic Park suggests a lack of clear strategic vision and a tendency to favor "image-driven" projects with immediate visual impact over fundamental, long-term investments that are less "glamorous" but more vital.
This investment appears to be a wasteful and deeply inappropriate expenditure in the current context of Timișoara. It stands in stark contrast to the urgent needs of the city.
It is imperative that local authorities urgently review their investment priorities and ensure maximum transparency in budget allocation. Public money must serve the general interest and the fundamental needs of the people of Timișoara, not be "flushed away" on projects with questionable cost-benefit ratios. Timișoara deserves smart investments that build a sustainable future, not symbols of questionable budgetary choices.
Timișoara, December 21, 2025. A Banca Transilvania client woke up to an unexpected debt of -689.44 RON in their account after the bank debited this amount on December 21, 2025. At the time of the original debit card purchases, the client had sufficient funds; however, the transactions—payments made previously at merchant POS terminals—were processed with a delay by the bank. This case highlights a lesser-known mechanism of card payments, through which you can end up in debt to the bank even if you had money in your account on the day of the purchase. This article explains the truth about how card payment settlements work and warns clients about the risks, providing clarification on "blocked amounts" vs. "settled amounts" and how delays can create the false impression that funds are available.
In this case, the card payments had been made days or even weeks prior, and the account balance was positive at the moment of purchase. However, the money was not immediately withdrawn from the account. Banca Transilvania only processed the settlement of these transactions on 12.21.2025, which led to the account being debited by 689.44 RON, causing the balance to turn negative. It is important to note: this was not an error or an unauthorized withdrawal, but rather the moment the transactions were financially settled.
To understand how a subsequent debt occurs, we must look at the steps of a card payment and the difference between a blocked amount and a settled amount:
Authorization and Blocking of Funds: When a client makes a card payment at a POS, the issuing bank (in this case, Banca Transilvania) authorizes the transaction and blocks the corresponding amount in the account. This means the money is reserved for the merchant, even though it has not yet been effectively withdrawn. The block acts as a guarantee that the money exists and will be paid. In this phase, the amount may appear as unavailable (reducing the available balance), although the current balance may remain unchanged. Banks do this especially when the transaction involves external systems—for example, a POS installed by another bank or online payments via Visa/Mastercard.
Transaction Settlement: Next comes the settlement stage, when banks settle accounts between themselves, and the blocked amount is transferred to the merchant's bank. This process is not always instantaneous. According to Banca Transilvania, transactions made at terminals belonging to other banks are settled within a maximum of 30 days. Usually, settlement occurs within 1–5 business days, but it can take longer depending on when the merchant requests payment and any delays in the Visa/Mastercard networks.
Unblocking of Uncollected Funds (Authorization Expiry): If the merchant does not finalize the transaction within a preset timeframe, the issuing bank automatically releases the blocked amount. Banca Transilvania specifies that any blocked amount remains reserved for a maximum of 20 days, after which it is returned to the account if not settled. Similarly, card network rules state that a pre-authorization expires in about 15 days if not used. Essentially, after this period, the money becomes available to the client again. Important: The transaction is not canceled; it can still be settled later.
Delayed Settlement and Risk to the Client: If the merchant requests payment after the amount has been unblocked, the bank will honor the request and debit the client's account even after 20–30 days. The rule is clear: if you received the product or service, the merchant has the right to be paid. Thus, the transaction can be debited anytime within the ~30-day limit. If the client has spent the money in the meantime (believing it was available), the account will go into the negative. This is equivalent to a debt to the bank—like an unauthorized overdraft. The bank may charge penalty interest until the amount is covered.
In short:
"Blocked amount" = money reserved immediately after the transaction, but which has not yet left the account.
"Settled amount" = money definitively transferred from your account to the merchant's account; the transaction appears as finalized in the statement.
If settlement does not occur on time, the blocked amount may be released temporarily, but the payment obligation remains, and the debit may appear later.
The main risk is that a client spends the money returned to the account (after the block expires), believing the transaction was canceled—only to be surprised later by an unexpected debit. As we have seen, even if you had money at the time of purchase, you can end up in debt to the bank if you spent the funds in the meantime. Interests, account limitations, or other inconveniences may arise.
How to avoid such situations:
Check the "Blocked amounts" section in the internet banking app or statement.
Do not rely on funds returned to the balance without settlement—it is possible the transaction will still be processed.
Maintain a reserve fund in the account for potential delayed settlements.
Regularly check transaction history—if a payment does not appear, ask the bank for explanations.
Pay attention to bank notifications regarding negative balances or late transactions.
The case of the client who found their account in the negative due to delayed settlement sheds light on an important aspect: the time gap between authorization and settlement. The mechanism of blocking and subsequent processing can create confusion and problems for the uninformed. Banks do not always explain these details clearly, and clients may misinterpret the available balance. It is essential for the public to understand how card settlement works and that debts can appear later, even if everything seemed fine at the time of purchase.
Radio Operativ Editorial Staff
UPT Politehnica, Timișoara — The Radio Operativ SRL media group claims it has been the target of statements described as "defamatory" and "slanderous" on TikTok, following an incident involving a security guard from PSG ONE, the firm responsible for securing UPT Politehnica objectives. According to the editorial staff, the case led to a formal complaint against the guard and dissatisfaction regarding how the site manager reportedly handled the situation internally.
According to information provided by Radio Operativ, on Friday, January 2, 2026, the founder of the media trust, Ariciu Ovidiu, contacted the PSG ONE security company's site manager regarding an incident involving security guard Alin Stanciu.
Radio Operativ asserts that Alin Stanciu allegedly launched accusations against the trust on TikTok, based on a rumor suggesting that Radio Operativ was the source of claims regarding the guard's sexual orientation. The editorial board considers these allegations to be an attack on the media institution's reputation.
In support of its position, Radio Operativ points to a live stream hosted by Alin Stanciu, in which the founder of Radio Operativ and the content creator known as "The Mayor of the Night" (Primarul Nopții) were reportedly brought face-to-face. According to the editorial staff, during the live stream, "The Mayor of the Night" allegedly admitted that Radio Operativ was not the source of the rumor in question, which—in the trust's interpretation—debunked the initial accusation.
Radio Operativ further maintains that the trust's founder has filed a formal complaint against Alin Stanciu for slander and defamation of the media group. The editorial staff states that this action was prompted by the public impact of the online statements and the resulting reputational damage claimed by the trust.
The Radio Operativ team declares that, during the discussion on January 2, 2026, the PSG ONE site manager allegedly promised to compile a report regarding the situation concerning Alin Stanciu and Stanciu Cosmin, reportedly making the following statement, as quoted by the editorial staff:
"People like that will not be part of my team."
Following follow-up checks conducted by the editorial staff, Radio Operativ claims that the site manager did not fulfill the promise regarding the report and that, from the trust's perspective, no coercive measures were applied against the two mentioned employees.
Radio Operativ specifies that it is publishing this material "as a sign of transparency toward public opinion." The editorial board also states that a verbal agreement existed not to publish any article on the subject until January 5, 2026. However, as a result of continued journalistic investigations, they concluded that the mentioned report was not created and the demanded internal measures were not implemented.
For the sake of balance and complete information, the positions of PSG ONE, the site manager, security guard Alin Stanciu, and representatives of UPT Politehnica could clarify the circumstances, internal procedures, and any measures taken. This article reflects the claims of Radio Operativ as communicated by their editorial staff.
Serious Incident at Profi Timișoara: Security Guard Forced to Operate Cash Registers Instead of Ensuring Safety
Radio Operativ SRL has formally notified the Territorial Labor Inspectorate (ITM) Timiș after the trust's founder, Ariciu Ovidiu, discovered a security guard working at the self-pay registers of a Profi store instead of fulfilling his legal security duties.
The incident took place on January 23, 2026, at 8:50 PM, at the Profi store located on Aleea Studenților No. 2, Basement, Timiș County. In his capacity as a customer, Ariciu Ovidiu observed that the security guard from the firm NEI Securitate was not at his designated post, but was instead performing activities specific to commercial staff.
Improper Activities Conducted by the Security Guard:
Scanning cards and assisting customers at self-pay registers.
Restocking merchandise on shelves.
Performing cleaning activities (sweeping) within the store.
When the Radio Operativ founder requested the presence of a responsible Profi employee to address malfunctioning scales at the self-pay registers, he was met with protests from the security guard, who refused to abandon his improper retail tasks.
The situation escalated when a Profi employee arrived and argued with the Radio Operativ representative, claiming it was "not their problem" that the security guard was performing commercial tasks instead of fulfilling his professional obligations.
Law No. 333/2003 regarding the protection of objectives, assets, values, and persons clearly stipulates that a security guard is obligated to ensure exclusively the guarding and protection of the designated objective.
Law No. 319/2003 regarding the Statute of Security Personnel provides that employees must adhere to the duties outlined in their job descriptions.
The observed situation represents a grave violation of legal norms, as security personnel are being forced to conduct activities that do not correspond to their role, leaving the security post unattended and creating significant safety risks. This suggests a systematic practice of abusing security personnel for commercial labor.
"We request that the Territorial Labor Inspectorate Timiș conduct a thorough inspection and analyze the video surveillance footage for the date of the incident. It is essential that the job descriptions of security personnel be verified and that legal duties are respected."
Radio Operativ SRL has requested the following measures via an official notification:
A thorough inspection of the Profi store in question.
Analysis of video recordings from the date of the incident.
Verification of job descriptions and employment contracts for security staff.
Application of legal sanctions if irregularities are confirmed.
The issuance of an official statement regarding the outcome of the inspection.
The company emphasized that this case is of public interest and reserves the right to notify the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity should a proper response not be received within the legal timeframe.
Editorial Note: Radio Operativ SRL continues to monitor this case and will inform the public of any developments in the investigation. Adherence to labor legislation and ensuring security in commercial spaces remain essential priorities for the local community.
Contact for similar reports: For similar situations or other observed irregularities in commercial spaces, the public may contact ITM Timiș or report directly to Radio Operativ via the website: www.radiooperativ.eu.
BUCHAREST – At a time when digitalization and the swiftness of justice are major campaign themes, the reality on the ground seems to contradict the Minister of Internal Affairs, Marian-Cătălin Predoiu. The media group Radio Operativ SRL, through its founder, Ariciu Ovidiu, levels serious accusations of institutional passivity following a complaint regarding defamation campaigns on social media.
Although case no. 624.027/06.01.2026 was officially registered at the beginning of the year, the ministerial silence is deafening. The publication's founder has not been contacted by any representative of the ministry, leaving a media group vulnerable to slanderous attacks launched by the individual named Stanciu Alin.
"It is unacceptable for an institution that should protect the rule of law to ignore an official complaint. The lack of organization under Mr. Predoiu's mandate forces us to seek justice in European forums," stated the management of Radio Operativ.
Our editorial team confirms that, in the absence of an official dialogue, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be sued at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) for the violation of the right to freedom of expression. Romania risks a new condemnation due to a bureaucracy that seems more concerned with internal procedures than with protecting citizens and defamed companies.
TIMIȘOARA – The Timiș County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) finds itself at the center of a major scandal after representatives of Radio Operativ SRL reported the incompetence of the case officer assigned to investigate a file involving slander and image attacks on TikTok.
Despite weeks passing since the opening of case no. 624.027/06.01.2026, IPJ Timiș has failed to achieve the basic task of contacting founder Ariciu Ovidiu to interview the aggrieved party. Meanwhile, the perpetrator of the attacks, Stanciu Alin, continues his denigration campaign unchecked, taking advantage of the passivity of the investigative bodies.
"We consider the person handling this case to be incompetent," is the blunt message sent to the General Secretariat of IPJ Timiș. The lack of communication is not merely an administrative error, but a red flag regarding how the Timișoara police choose to ignore cases involving press freedom and the integrity of private companies.
Radio Operativ announces that it will not let this case be silenced. While the file sits gathering dust in an office in Timișoara, the legal team is preparing documentation for international courts. If IPJ Timiș cannot fulfill its basic duty—to communicate with the victim of a crime—then the entire leadership structure should provide public explanations.
